ClimateMaster Announces Rollout of Industry’s First Ducted Vertical Stack Unit

ClimateMaster announces the launch of its Tranquility® Vertical Stack (TSL) Series ducted heat pump unit, which is the first and only vertical stack product for ducted applications on the market today. Providing a simple, cost-effective approach to installing ducted stacked units, the ClimateMaster TSL Series also provides independent metering capabilities for a wide scope of building applications, including office, education, hospitality and multi-family projects. IAPMO Backflow Prevention Institute Conducts First ASSE 5130 Backflow Repair Certification Class in California

The IAPMO Backflow Prevention Institute (BPI) recently held the first ASSE 5130 Backflow Repair Certification class in California. This two-day, 20-hour certification class took place at IAPMO World Headquarters in Ontario. Last year, BPI opened a state-of-the-art wet lab and classroom facility in Ontario and began holding ASSE 5110 backflow tester certification classes there on a regular basis. Using ASSE International as its third-party certification agency, BPI is proud to be affiliated with the largest and one of the oldest cross-connection control certification programs in the United States. Following up on a tester class conducted on July 21-25, the repair class took place on July 26-27. Fujitsu’s new Floor-Mounted Heat Pumps Operate at Extra-low Ambients

Fujitsu General America introduces two new lines of high-efficiency, floor-mounted mini-split heat pump systems with heating that operates at ambient temperatures as low as -15°F (RLFFH line), or -5°F (RLFF line). Efficiency ratings are as high as 26 SEER. The small indoor units were developed specifically for residential and light commercial retrofit applications, ideally to replace standing radiators or any space with limited upper wall space like a kitchen or sunroom. They are less than 24” high and 30” wide. Systems are available in 9, 12 or 15,000 BTU single-zone models or in multi-zone configurations. Heating capacity at low outdoor temperatures is achieved through the use of a large heat exchanger and a high-capacity compressor. RLFFH systems are equipped with a base heater that prevents condensate from freezing and features a cultivated base design that discharges melted water through many holes. Contractor Training Visit incorporates Motorcycle Ride from New Jersey to Utica

Bikers visit Utica Boilers Factory. Utica Boiler installing contractors from Saddle Brook, Wayne and Wallington, NJ were all welcomed by Utica Boilers on Thursday, July 17th for a two-day technical training event that wasn’t all work and no play. A number of the contractors traveled from New Jersey to Utica, NY by motorcycle for the factory tour and training event.
