National Grid Urges Passage of Bill That Provides Incentives for Oil to Natural Gas Conversions, Energy Efficiency

National Grid today voiced strong support for The Cleaner, Secure, Affordable Thermal Energy Act (S. 1643), a bill introduced by Senators Bingaman (D-NM) and Olympia Snowe (R-ME) that would provide significant tax incentives to convert from heating oil to more environmentally friendly natural gas, along with measures designed to increase energy efficiency efforts nationwide.
