Wayne Rose Promoted to Global Marketing Role at Armstrong Fluid Technology

Armstrong Fluid Technology has announced that Wayne Rose has been promoted to the position of Global Marketing Manager – Pumps. In his new role he assumes responsibility for the marketing of the Armstrong portfolio of pumps, Suction Guides and Flo-Trex valves on a worldwide basis, with particular emphasis on the company’s Design Envelop pump models.   Rose has fulfilled a number of roles at Armstrong since joining the company 15 years ago. Building on his experience as a product manager, he progressed to the role of marketing director (UK and EMEA) with responsibility for branding and communication, and most recently has been responsible for manufacturing & technical services operations at Armstrong’s factory in Manchester, UK. Modine Introduces its full-line Geothermal Heat Pump Series

Modine’s Energy Star-rated residential and light-commercial geothermal product line includes water-to-water, water-to-air, water-to-air/water combination, and split condensing/air-handling systems.   All Modine geothermal systems feature the Orb controller, providing quick start-up right from the full color LCD touchscreen with control of up to four forced-air zones as standard, real time displays of EER and COP estimates, water and air temperatures, and easy troubleshooting. All systems use R410A refrigerant and offer a 10-year limited warranty. Water-to-water residential and light commercial models are available in reversible and non-reversible sizes from 2- to 12-ton sizes. Water-to-air models range in size from 1.5- to 6-ton units in both vertical and horizontal configurations. Armstrong Announces New Maintenance-Free S&H Circulators and Seal Bearing Assemblies

Armstrong Fluid Technology has announced the introduction of Maintenance-Free (MF) versions of its popular S&H Circulator line and the Seal Bearing Assemblies (SBA) used to service them.   The traditional sleeve bearing designs that are commonly used in this style of circulator require periodic oiling. The new Armstrong maintenance-free S& H Circulators eliminate the need for oiling, saving time and cost for building operators. The new MF S&H line will be offered as an additional option alongside the traditional sleeve bearing designs.   Armstrong Seal Bearing Assemblies are also compatible with many competing circulator models that require maintenance. Bosch Thermotechnology Teams Up With Orca Energy to Reduce Cost of Geothermal Heating and Cooling for New Home Developers, Builders and Homebuyers

Bosch Thermotechnology, a leading heating-cooling equipment manufacturer, has signed an agreement with US-based Orca Energy, a leading geothermal utility provider, to jointly market a geothermal infrastructure-equipment solution to developers, homebuilders and prospective new homeowners in the U.S.   The agreement between Bosch Thermotechnology and Orca Energy was signed in October at the annual International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) Technical Conference and Expo held in Las Vegas, NV.   The agreement to collaborate in the U.S. marketplace solves one of the most persistent challenges facing the geothermal industry: how to overcome builder and homeowner resistance to the initial capital cost barrier of installing the ground heat exchanger.
