HRAI and CIPH Unveil New Name and Day Pattern for 2014 Trade ShowSubscribe to RSS feed

Mississauga, Ontario - The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) and Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH) are delighted to announce that their respective Boards have come to an agreement that the 2014 CMX/CIPHEX Trade Show and Learning Forum will now be known as the Canadian Mechanical and Plumbing Exposition (CMPX). The biennial national trade show has been operating since 1972 serving the HVACR and plumbing industries in Canada and internationally.

In addition to the new name, the associations also announced a new day pattern for 2014; Wednesday to Friday. This change to eliminate Saturday as a show day has been made to respond to surveys of exhibitors and attendees.

“With the growth of the HRAI and CIPH brand, we are pleased to introduce a new name that better reflects what our associations represent to the industry and to introduce a new day pattern that will be better received by both exhibitors and attendees alike”, said Warren Heeley, President of HRAI.

“The name change provides a broader brand scope of product categories and the new day pattern will better leverage the business days of the week. Visitors and exhibitors will continue to experience a world class trade show to meet their marketing and learning needs,” reports Ralph Suppa, CAE President and General Manager of CIPH.
The 2014 CMPX trade show will be held March 19th - 21st, 2014 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The 2014 show is expected to attract more than 14,000 industry members and feature over 450 exhibitors as well as a wide variety of technical seminars.
