While celebrating its 75th corporate anniversary and its 50th year of continued support to the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors (PHCC) National Auxiliary programs, InSinkErator® recently honored two outstanding individuals and seven PHCC auxiliaries during the association’s annual convention in Las Vegas.
InSinkErator, the world’s leading manufacturer of food waste disposers and instant hot water dispensers, teamed with the PHCC National Auxiliary to recognize Nancy Eberhardt of the Wisconsin PHCC Auxiliary as the 2013 Larry Dore Member of the Year. Eberhardt, who has served as PHCC National Director and Wisconsin Auxiliary president, was selected based on her more than 20 years of commitment to the organization and her efforts that led to increased auxiliary membership and funding of the Wisconsin scholarship fund.
Eberhardt received a $2,000 cash award and commemorative plaque for being selected Larry Dore Member of the Year, which recognizes an auxiliary member who has been active at various levels within the auxiliary and has made a substantial contribution to the plumbing, heating and cooling industry.
InSinkErator and the PHCC National Auxiliary also presented a first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award to Lynne Finley, recognizing her outstanding service to the industry and association while as Historian Emeritus. In addition to a special Lifetime Achievement Award commemorative gift, Finely received a $2,500 cash award.
Finley joined the PHCC Auxiliary in 2001, becoming a fixture at PHCC National Headquarters, where she researched the auxiliary’s history and wrote “A Partnership Unique”, a book that chronicles the auxiliary’s activities from 1919 to the present.
Along with Eberhardt and Finley, the PHCC National Auxiliary and InSinkErator also honored seven other notable auxiliaries with Robert M. Cox Humanitarian awards during the association’s 131st national convention, CONNECT 2013, held Oct. 16-19 in Las Vegas.
The Robert M. Cox Humanitarian Award recognizes state or local auxiliaries that have made an impact on the industry or local community, and demonstrate cooperation between the auxiliary and contractor association.
