A Technique for Producing Ideas, by James Webb Young
This is a tiny book (just 64 pages), but one that changed my life as a businessman. I read it when I was 30 years old and suffering from writer's block. I discovered this book while taking a course in advertising at the New School in Manhattan and I haven't had a problem coming up with ideas since then. I incorporated the technique into my business seminars and so many people have written to say that the technique worked for them as well. It really is remarkable and so simple.
This is a recipe book for creative thought, written by James Webb Young, one of the most successful pioneers in the advertising world. It may not seem to have much to do with heating, but it has a lot to do with thinking - and with coming up with ideas that are truly yours. Get a copy. You can read it in one sitting, but you'll never forget it. This little book is a gem!
