Reader reviews:

"As a homeowner with steam heat I bought both We Got Steam Heat and The Lost Art of Steam Heating. Plus I bought EDR (Every Darn Radiator) later. If you really want to understand your system that's the way to go."

This package is a great read and well worth it. "The Lost Art of Steam Heating" is my steam bible and a must for the heating professional. Its also a great resource to have. "We Got Steam Heat" is a great book for the involved homeowner. You will gain a better understanding of your entire heating system and will be able to weed out the knuckleheads from the professionals when it comes time for a boiler replacement. "Pocketful of Steam Problems..."is a great quick reference guide for all.

I can't say enough about Dan's books on steam heat! Awesomely educational and easy to understand. I now know how to spot the knuckleheads who talk a good game but don't know squat about maintaining or repairing the steam system in my 90 year old house. Better yet, I'm learning how to do some of the maintenance work myself. If you've got steam heat, you must read the books in "A Steamy Deal". Lisa Yee (Alberta, Canada)

i highly recommend anyone with steam to get this. these books, and this site made all the difference in getting my new [1,050,000 btu] steam boiler to work better than the system had since 1953! True 1-pipe-steam diagnosticians are at bit rare here in the Midwest, and so I had to be the "expert." Only made possible with these books!
