Challenge

To provide consulting services to the public sector, the industry, the insurance- and legal professions, and to provide certified home inspections. We excel at steam and radiant heating system troubleshooting, redesign and layout, and provide forensic-investigation service for the insurance industry. We also have served as industry expert consultants for the legal profession, providing information and testimony when necessary.

We can provide home-inspection services for residential- and light-commercial properties. We also can provide energy-conservation evaluations and recommendations for upgrading systems and boilers for peak operating efficiency.

Approach

I call on over 45 years of industry experience to properly survey and assess systems problems. I sometimes have to play detective to find out the information behind the scenes to properly evaluate the conditions. I look to find the true cause of the problem and try not to treat only the symptoms. If you look and listen closely enough, the system can talk to you and tell its story of how and why it was built the way it was. This can often be the key that unlocks the mysteries surrounding the situation.

Solution

When doing forensic work, we evaluate the situation at hand, interview the parties involved, research as necessary and produce a complete report. In our consulting work, I often spend a lot of time with the owner or technician to complete and thoroughly understand the intent of the project, and develop options to make it happen. We call on all of our sources, as necessary, to find the proper course of action. In our home inspections, our loyalty is, and will always be, to the house, no matter who writes the check.
