Hydrolevel Company, a leading manufacturer of temperature and liquid level controls for residential and commercial heating applications, is proud to highlight its HydroStat, a universal temperature limit and low water cut-off control. Designed to replace cold start and triple-action Aquastat controls, HydroStat gives contractors a flexible solution for both replacement work and new protection upgrades while helping save time, materials, and wiring.
Recent HydroStat housing upgrades improve installation and serviceability, with a taller housing for easier wiring access, removable door hinges for simpler setup, and a water-resistant design with recessed LEDs to help protect against water intrusion. HydroStat is available as Model 3200 Plus for gas-fired boilers and Model 3250 Plus for oil-fired boilers, providing a single installer-friendly control platform with universal replacement capability, simplified wiring, adjustable functionality, clear diagnostics, and optional low water cut-off protection.
HydroStat can be installed on an existing immersion well to provide the full temperature functionality of the control being replaced, making it a practical universal replacement for common Aquastat models on both cold start and tankless coil boilers. For contractors and wholesalers, one control can cover a broad range of replacement applications while minimizing installation complexity and reducing inventory.
When installed on a Hydrolevel Electro-Well, the HydroStat automatically activates its low water cut-off function, giving contractors a way to add low water cut-off protection to new or existing installations without the added time and cost of a separate control. Installer setup is designed to be quick and intuitive, with simple dial-type settings for limit and differential adjustment that help speed commissioning, simplify service, and reduce the chance of setup errors in the field.
HydroStat incorporates a dynamic 3-digit LED temperature display that continually indicates boiler temperature during operation. When the high limit, low limit, or differential dials are adjusted, the display instantly changes to show the setting temperature, and at power-up it scrolls through the current temperature and differential settings for quick reference. That immediate visual feedback helps technicians confirm setpoints faster, verify operating conditions more easily, and reduce callbacks related to incorrect settings.
To simplify field replacement, HydroStat uses the same terminal designations as common Aquastat models, making wiring familiar and speeding change-outs. The control also includes four on-board diagnostic lights that provide at-a-glance status, confirming temperature operation, signaling high-limit shutdowns, indicating when LWCO is active on an Electro-Well, and warning of low water conditions. These diagnostics help technicians troubleshoot quickly and respond before dry-firing damage occurs.
HydroStat offers additional flexibility through its adjustable operating ranges, including a low limit range of Off or 110°F to 200°F, a high limit range of 100°F to 220°F, and a differential range of 10°F to 30°F. These settings allow installers to fine-tune performance for a variety of system requirements, supporting both cold start and tankless coil applications while balancing comfort and system cycling.
